Food Vendor Requirements

Applications for food vendors will open in spring 2021 and are due in March. Six to ten food vendors will be accepted for the Summer Show. The application form includes a detailed list of your menu items.

Succesful applicants will be notified in early June and will receive a Food Vendor Information Package.

We like to provide our visitors and exhibitors with a variety of food options. Therefore, no more than two vendors may sell the same food. Food vendors are permitted to sell only that food which is approved by the Muskoka Arts & Crafts. This stipulation does not apply to drinks or side dishes.

Health & Safety

You are required to complete a Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit Application for Special Events Food Service and submit it to the Health Unit a minimum of ten days prior to the Summer Show. Past experience has shown, however, that an earlier submission is necessary. Please send a copy to Muskoka Arts & Crafts as well.

You are also required to have a fire extinguisher present at your booth.

Booth Hours

Your booth must remain open during show hours. Under no circumstances should you close down your food booth during show hours without first consulting the Executive Director who is present at the Information Booth.

Exhibitor & Volunteer Express Lines

To facilitate the hectic schedule of the exhibitors and volunteers, food vendors are asked to have an express line, using signs provided by Muskoka Arts & Crafts, for exhibitors and volunteers to order and receive food.

Hydro & water
There is limited access to hydro and water. Access to electricity is limited to 15 amps per outlet. There are only two 220V outlets available. You must bring extension cords and hoses. Generators cannot be left running overnight. Priority may be given to those food vendors who are self-sufficient.

Overnight security is provided Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You are responsible for your own liability insurance. Muskoka Arts & Crafts is not responsible for any damage, breakage or theft of your work, booth or display props.

You may set up on the Thursday prior to the show opening, between 8 am and 6 pm or on the Friday of the show opening between 7 am and 9 am.

You are responsible for your own liability insurance. A copy of your public liability certificate of insurance with a minimum amount of two million dollars must be submitted after you have been accepted. Failure to submit a certificate of insurance will result in forfeiting your booth. More information can be found in the Food Vendor Information Package that will be sent to you upon acceptance of your application.
