Sue's work is anchored by the profound fragility and complexity present in the natural world. She is fascinated by the fleeting colours of a landscape, the tender beauty of a petal, and the complex textures created by the sunlight.  A realist with a proclivity for detail, Sue has worked in miniature size as well as larger pieces.Her process is one of discovery and balance, seeking the tension between hard and soft edges, and she is often surprised by the results of this exploration—stepping back to find a 'photographic' quality emerging from the layers of mark making.
