Lauren is a wildlife photographer based in Muskoka, Ontario, inspired by nature and the animals we share our planet with. After developing a love for photography in high school, she found her true focus in wildlife photography in 2020 and has been pursuing it passionately ever since. Her work has been featured in Canadian Geographic and Cottage Life Magazine, and she won Best in Show at the 2022 Kitchener Public Library Photography Contest. While she enjoys photographing owls, foxes, and ravens, Lauren is especially passionate about highlighting often-overlooked species to promote curiosity and conservation. With a PhD in molecular biology and a background in wildlife disease research, she now lives in cottage country, volunteers with wildlife rehabilitation organizations, and uses her photography to support conservation efforts.
