Mandy began her professional practice in 2011, building on years of hands-on experience working alongside professional artists in a well-known art supply shop. This early immersion allowed her to master the behaviour of fine art mediums across canvas, wood, and paper, forming a technical foundation that she later refined through specialized studies at the Haliburton School of the Arts.Today, creating from New Moon Studio near the rapids of Port Sydney, Mandy’s work has transitioned from traditional wildlife illustration into a body of three-dimensional realism. She pushes the boundaries of contemporary art through heavy body texture, a limited palette, and mixed mediums that prioritize sculptural depth over traditional flat surfaces.Her current collection focuses on the intelligence and mystery of Corvids (Ravens and Crows) exploring the liminal spaces between the untamed wild and the echoes of Muskoka’s history. Through atmospheric mark-making and heavy impasto, Mandy invites viewers into an ominous world where the paint doesn't just sit on the surface…it breathes with a life-like presence
