Make your colours pop! Join artist Lynda Lynn for a three-hour painting workshop exploring the fundamentals of colour mixing. Learn simple, practical principles for creating vibrant, balanced colours and avoiding muddy combinations. Through guided exercises and hands-on experimentation, you’ll develop a better understanding of colour relationships, value, temperature, and saturation and learn how to apply these skills to strengthen your paintings. Suitable for artists of all experience levels and mediums, this workshop will help you build confidence with colour and bring greater clarity and impact to your work.

MATERIALS
Some basic materials will be provided, however participants are encouraged to bring their own acrylics or watercolours (bring all your colours!), paper (pure white watercolour paper or heavy mixed media paper) and brushes.

Inspired by Canada’s shifting landscape, Lynda Lynn creates vibrant paintings that blend abstraction and realism, using intuitive mark-making and expressive colour to explore a deep sense of place. A lifelong artist, she studied at several institutions and was mentored by Muskoka painter Robert Emerson Everett. She is a founding director of the Muskoka School of the Arts and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and the Ontario Society of Artists. An environmental advocate, her work also highlights the importance of healthy watersheds. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections internationally.
