Learn more about the fascinating medium of printmaking with Elise Muller. Explore relief printmaking by learning how to design, transfer your image, and carve soft lino blocks. These will be printed on paper using various presses and pressing techniques. We will also use textile ink to make patches and bandanas and will experiment with printing on participant provided garments.
Materials and tools will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring garments to experiment with (must be 100% cotton, linen or denim).
Elise Muller works with ink, stone and metal out of Stone Tree Studio near Dorset. She fell in love with Printmaking over 30 years ago as an art student and has been printing ever since. Her formal art training is in Art, Design & Mixed Media from Ballyfermot S.C. in Dublin, McMaster University, and Haliburton School of Art + Design – where she works as a studio technician.
