This needle-felted landscape is created entirely from wool and natural fibres and captures an autumn path climbing a steep, forested hillside. A vibrant trail winds upward through damp woodland, while the land falls away toward distant, frost-softened hills. On the right side of the composition, a moss-covered dead tree anchors the scene, its textured surface echoing the quiet weight of the season.
The work was inspired by a cold, late-autumn day when everything felt saturated with moisture and stillness. Despite the chill, the colours of the landscape seemed to sing—rich, luminous, and alive against the muted atmosphere. Through needle felting, I sought to preserve this contrast between dampness and vibrancy, translating the tactile experience of place into layers of fibre, texture, and depth.
