Floating Before Dawn 1

This larger painting captures the moment between when we sleep and the moments just before we fully wake up. It's a dreamlike feeling with depth and layers that flow from the palette knife and the movement of brushstrokes. The rich colours are soft and blurry. The smooth shapes indicate a moment in the dream, some darker than others, some lighter. With each layer of paint added and subtracted, the viewer is called to lean in and experience what lies below.
