Got My Ducks in a Row

This photograph is of a family of hooded mergansers (Mom and her 3 kids). I had been watching the family for several hours as they swam around, played with each other, and did whatever mergansers do - which was anything but stay in one place. Suddenly, they all hopped up on this log to take a break from their afternoon activities. But they were anything but photogenic - one would take a nap, while two other would fight, with the fourth one falling off the log and struggling to get back on. I took about 200 photos of them on this log, and this is the only photo where they all behaved and rewarded me with the perfect family photo.
