Honey Bear

Clay can be formed into anything. I enjoy taking clay and sculpting animals and giving them personality. I don't preplan my sculptures. When I take the clay and start making an animal, the clay is telling me what to make. I made a tube of clay, and it had to be a tree stump. When I was carving the bark of the tree, I knew it had a beehive inside it. I added bees to the trunk. Now I needed a bear to steal the honey. I sculpted the bear with his tongue licking his chops. He doesn't even notice the bee on his head. Making animal sculptures is one of my happy places.
