The ceramic bear is stealing honey from a beehive in a tree trunk. The mad bees are swarming around, even on his head. Honey Bear isn't concerned about the bees as he is licking his lips in anticipation of the sweet honey. I made a cylinder, then carved it to resemble a tree trunk. I sculpted the bear from clay. I made the bees from a sprig mould that I made. After the bear has dried, I hand-paint them with underglaze and then fire them in my kiln. I clear-glazed them and high-fired them again in my electric kiln.
