This piece is a life cast of a frozen exotic tortoise; a blend of taxidermy and sculpture.
8 Separate silicone molds were taken, cast separately in resin and then assembled. It is highly texturized with great attention to detail, I’m proud to say it is not 3D printed or scanned. My hope is to create a series highlighting tortoise creation myths from around the world.
