MA&C Youth Sketchbook Club

Youth Sketchbook Club (Ages 8–12)

Our Youth Sketchbook Club is a welcoming space for young artists to build a meaningful and consistent sketchbook practice. This club meets Tuesdays from 3:30–5:00 PM at MA&C on Main Gallery, 63 Manitobia Street, Bracebridge. Advance sign-up is required.

Participants will explore the importance of the sketchbook as a tool for creativity, experimentation, and self-expression. The club focuses on mark-making, creative exercises, and using the sketchbook as a place to create freely — not for perfection. Students will be encouraged to take risks, express their ideas, and develop confidence in their artistic voice through guided prompts and open exploration.

Sketchbooks and all materials are provided.

All skill levels are welcome. Participants are expected to come with a positive attitude, a willingness to experiment, and well-mannered behavior to help foster a respectful and supportive creative environment.
