My inspiration for my art was my older brother Ty, he is my best friend and always has been and I really wanted to show that in the painting and I wanted to show our love for nature since we were young. The image I went off of is my favourite picture of my brother and I from when I was really little, and I wanted to make that photo into a painting but in a different familiar setting. I really struggled with the horizon line; It looked very flat, and empty so I fixed that by adding the fence and less textured hills. I'm proud with the amount of texture I used, and I think that I was able to really get out of my comfort zone, by trying different techniques and trying to play with texture to show the difference between up close and far away in the back.
