Since I was a kid I have always had a connection to greek mythology. By the age of ten I hated reading more than anything, I avoided it in every situation possible, until I got into percy jackson. Percy jackson not only helped me start to read again but it also made me a better person. Greek mythology has become a big part of my life, and reading many books inspired by it as well as many musicals. This piece specifically is depicting Odysseus of Ithaca, Athena, and their mentorship. Athena is the god of wisdom, while Odysseus is the warrior of the mind, leading to him following in her footsteps and beliefs, and regardless of what comes to pass, they come back together, akin to mentorship. This connects to many situations I have had in my life and I wanted to depict a common situation in an uncommon fashion.
