Janice Feist

Muskoka has been Janice’s home for over 30 years and constantly inspires her with its beauty and ruggedness. Her studio is nestled under towering Pine trees and embraced by Muskoka bedrock, an oasis of nature. Whether using watercolour, India ink, soft pastel, oil or acrylic paint, Janice’s work has an impressionistic quality which evolves with each painting. With a wide range of subjects, which include the Canadian landscape, flora and fauna, her paintings embrace the dialogue between colour and texture. Her instinctual process of applying paint captures the excitement of the moment as she responds to her subject. Awards for Best Use of Media and Best 2D work in group and juried shows.
