Margarethe is known for her passionate interpretation of the raw natural beauty of Canada’s landscapes and waterscapes.
She has a BA(Hons) in Art History from Queen’s University and a BEd degree. She is a Signature Member of Artists for Conservation (AFC) and her work can be found in both private and corporate collections internationally and she has exhibited widely.
Her studio is located in Lion’s Head on the Bruce Peninsula.
“As an oil painter, I am fascinated by the powerful forces that have shaped the landscape and the effects that time and weather have had upon the earth’s surface. I draw my inspiration from many sources; the waters and limestone cliffs of the Bruce Peninsula and the shores of Georgian Bay and Lake Superior.“
