My art is a love letter, it’s an expression of my love of nature, of its diversity and beauty. It is all about sky and depth. Movement in a frozen moment, and yet this pause can speak so loudly and is so important to telling the story of the time and place. All of my pieces are places I have visited and so have a strong connection with. They are places that just made me stop and drink it all in.
As a medium, needle felting is a great match to my subject matter. I am drawn to the texture and warmth of wool and other natural fibres. The feeling of it between my fingers as I twist and pull it into position adds an new element to the piece I am creating. Each type of fibre has a different shape and feel, and reacts to felting a different way,
