Bio-Paul Stewart
I began my pottery carrier in 1985 as a second-generation potter. My studio is located in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood. I sell my work at select shows, and to designers and the movie/TV industry. I have always produced functional porcelain pottery. I have also challenged my creative side by exploring raku firing, saggerware and other, more spontaneous ,firing techniques. My son, Eamonn Stewart, is now the third generation in this family of potters
ARTIST STATEMENT
Great pottery doesn’t attempt Brief to mimic nature or to fly in the face of it. I believe that timeless pottery celebrates our natural world by best utilizing the simple gifts from the ground.
