Bruce Tyner works primarily in encaustics (painting with hot beeswax) while also incorporating his photography and other mediums. After many years using watercolour, pastels and many other mediums he discovered encaustic and saw the potential of this art form. “I just like the way that the hot wax can be formed and manipulated and can sometimes flow into a whole new direction from what it was originally intended”
Born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, and living in Texas and Tennessee before moving to Bracebridge, Bruce has drawn on his varied experience to shape his art works, focusing mainly on landscapes and portraits. Bruce can be found in his studio, a converted 150 year old church in the quaint village of Muskoka Falls.
