Carole A Thur

Carole, a self-taught artist lived in Gatineau, Quebec where the beauty of the hills instilled beginnings of artistic endeavors at a very early age.
Due to a busy adult life, she was unable to pursue art until retirement and now works from her home in Bracebridge, Ontario.
She paints in acrylic on hand-crafted wood items, canvas and has done wall murals for children’s bedrooms, pet portraits as well as signs for horse ranches and our local dog park. She also does calligraphy on commission. Her style is impressionistic with some realism.
Her art endeavors to promote a visual sensitivity to the beauty, serenity and sacredness of nature thereby instilling the need to preserve what we have and to care for our natural surroundings.
