Douglas Robinson

Douglas was born in Vancouver BC. . As Art Director, Designer, Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer of a number of Canada’s most awarded Ad Agencies, he has been recognized in over one hundred Advertising & Design Award Shows, both Nationally and Internationally. Always keeping his interest in painting, Douglas has come out of hibernation and has returned to his passion for the palette working between his 2 studios in Nobleton & Muskoka.
My paintings are visual stories, informed and inspired by my life experiences and emotions. My art is intuitive with multiple layers covered and revealed, with colours and contrast supporting each stroke. The palette knife creates a sense of motion and rawness. My art is open to interpretation.
