Katrina Lawrence

I love the outdoors, and I’m continuously inspired by nature, always stopping to take a picture which I can then transform into a painting. I follow in the footsteps of my great-grandmother, who studied under the Group of Seven. Having spent many months each year in northern Ontario, I continue to be inspired by the raw beauty of the rugged landscapes and unruly forests. Keeping my family tradition alive, I channel my love for nature into my paintbrush. My goal is not only to capture the visual of the scenery, but the sentiment of being present in such a landscape and share it with others. I paint Canadian, Austrian and Scottish landscapes in watercolour, acrylic and gouache, as well as custom animal portraits, and seasonal greeting cards.
