Kristensen & Smith

Kristensen & Smith is a creative collaboration between photographer Melissa Kristensen and wood designer Andre Smith. Using reclaimed and sustainable sourced Ontario hardwoods they make photographic and functional art.
Melissa has been a photographer for over 35 years and specializes in printing her work directly to reclaimed wood. Andre has been honing his craft for over 30 years as well. His furniture is all handcrafted right down to the beads for his Copenhagen Chair. Expanding his designs to include wood handbags, wallets and totes has led to a whole sustainable fashion line. The artists often combine their two passions and you will find photographic images on totes and even tabletops. Why should anyone limit art to their walls?
