Kristina Murray

Kristina Murray is an Ottawa based oil painter drawing inspiration from urban gardens and waterways. Her childhood in a country setting are the roots of her creative practice, drawing on her nostalgia of simpler times. Although she paints primarily in oil, Kristina loves to explore diverse mediums such as Acrylic and Encaustic. With her painterly brushstrokes, unified colour palette and visible layers and mark marking, Kristina’s art reveals layers and invites the viewer to explore the unfolding of each piece during the creation process.
