About

I am a plein air oil painter, creating colourful paintings inspired by connecting with nature. I use an impressionist style, bright colours and loose brush strokes in my work. Painting while I am outdoors feeds my soul!

I am extremely grateful to have a summer home in Muskoka where I am continually inspired by beautiful lakes, trees and fantastic skies.  I have been painting plein air for over three decades, with my painting style influenced by the Impressionists and Group of Seven.

I have shown my paintings over the last decade in the PWD art gallery and design studio in Uptown Waterloo, and in the annual Mary Allen Studio Tour in Waterloo since 2011.  My work can be found in private collections in Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
