About

I have been a part time woodworker for over 15 years. Initially focused on furniture, my interest in sculpture began about 10 years ago after hand carving a totem from a century-old cedar center beam of a renovated house. My sculptures are all carved in repurposed woods; old telephones, centre beams, felled trees. With time, my artistic interests shifted towards life-like representations, presenting me with new challenges and new opportunities for growth as an artist. Prior to COVID I participated in 5 art shows: 3 with York Makers (ETSY): 2 in Newmarket Sept 2018 & 2019, Keswick May 2019; Purple Turtle – Jackson’s Point 2019 and Art in the Park – Uxbridge 2019.
