James is a visual artist/painter. Currently, James has two series of on going works. The Sandwich Collection, is a series of mixed media paintings that focuses on the popular subject of food. Each painting is created to project a low relief from the canvas using colours similar to the Pop Art palette, with a focus on the presentation.
The second series, James calls Dripscapes. Contemporary landscape paintings that are a compilation of drips, dots and splatters of paint, that are controlled to create vibrant scenes on large gallery canvas.
James holds a diploma in Graphic Design (Seneca College), a B.F.A. and a B.Ed both from York University. James has work in advertising and taught Visual Arts for the past 25 years and is now retired.
