Elena Dinissuk

About

Born and raised in Siberia, Russia, Elena moved to Canada in 1998. Here in Canada, she started painting and underwent her journey as an artist. Elena’s main medium is acrylic, which she likes due to its vibrancy and versatility. Elena’s floral paintings are full of movement and colour. Her semi-abstract landscapes are impressionistic and filled with positive energy. Her works are created by using acrylic gel and modeling paste to add opaque and transparent layers, as well as texture, to vague shapes and indistinct lines. Elena derives her inspiration from her surroundings – the village of Washago, Ontario, where she pursues her full-time career as an artist. Elena is proud to say that she’s been participating in art shows and exhibits since 2018.
