Permanent Collection
The Permanent Collection was established in 1985 to represent works of art that document and represent the artistic excellence of the Muskoka Arts & Crafts and the diversity of its membership. The collection is permanently housed at the Chapel Gallery. Many contributors to our permanent collection are also Honorary Lifetime Members of the association.
The Chapel Gallery has received multiple awards as the best gallery in Muskoka by the readers of the Muskokan, Bracebridge Examiner and the Gravenhurst Banner. It is a must-see for locals and visitors interested in the arts in Muskoka.
CHAPEL GALLERY
The Chapel Gallery has been the home of Muskoka Arts & Crafts since the fall of 1989. This charming building, a reconstruction of the first Presbyterian Church building built in Bracebridge, has provided Muskoka Arts & Crafts with a tranquil space dedicated to a broad range of art exhibitions that take place throughout the year.
Overlooking the Muskoka River and downtown Bracebridge, the Chapel Gallery has been host to a variety of local talent and noteworthy Canadian artists such as Denis Geden, Mendelson Joe, as well as the late Doris McCarthy, John Gould and Michael Robinson.
The Chapel Gallery is also the setting for an array of lectures and workshops offered to members and the public.
